While I was in Sungai Sedim, Kulim, a wedding of a friend was held there as well. The bride was a fellow actress, and I’ve worked with her before. She had always love doing something out of the ordinary. Very bubbly and sure do love the attention. She had a reception back home a couple of days earlier, and was in Kedah for a different kind of celebration.

The bride and groom, had to do flying fox to get to the pelamin, which was set up nearby. It had leaves and everything. Obviously it was a green/jungle theme wedding. It was fun to be there. To see both of them in green. Even the pengapit had kipas made out of leaves.

Bukan salah aku, then salah siapa?

I guess I’m at an age in which everything could go wrong, and sometimes it seems, everything is just like how it should be. Everything happens for a reason, orang kata. We need to make decisions and sometimes we just don’t really want to make any. We go through everyday wishing somehow, someone else would make the decisions for us, so that if something goes wrong, we could say, “Bukan salah aku”. We are just so afraid of admitting to our faults. Seboleh-bolehnya kita nak lari dari semua bende.

We feel like we want to run away from everything, and that sometimes, we think, why all the bad things have to happen to us. When really, that is what life is all about.

I really do hope people are more soft-spoken with each other, and smile more when they see each other. But at the same time I don’t want others to take even the slightest advantage of other people’s well-manners. I want people to not feel superior, or feel left out of the crowd, tapi most of the time kita tak tahu bila nak balance out those two things. I want everyone to get what they really deserve, but I don’t want us to play the role of God and decides who should or shouldn’t be punished and take it into our own hands.

Too many bad things in this world right now, at this very moment, and even me, I’m not even near to being half perfect, so who am I to even say apa-apa. Kata orang, kita sesama manusia mesti saling ingat-mengingati, but we never do it the right way. There are things in my life I wish I’d be able to change, but like I’ve read somewhere, samada, can’t, or won’t. Itu saja.

Please, just be nice to others. Senyum selalu, sebab selain dari dianggap sedekah, its just a nice thing to do. Do it because we wan’t to.

Honestly, right now I know I’m not making any sense. Menaip apa yang terlintas kat kepala.

All I really want to do, right now, is to..

Fans VS Favourites

Tuesday, March 25th, 2008

Now I’m gonna talk about Survivor Micronesia: Fans vs Favourites. 10 of Survivor’s biggest fan, going against 10 of their favourite past players. Airai, the orange fans tribe consists of Khaty, Alexis, Joel, Jason, Chet, Mikey B, Tracy, Natalie, Mary and Erik. Malakal, the purple favourites tribe consists of Ozzy, Amanda, James, Parvati, Yau Man, Johnny Fairplay, Eliza, Ami, Jonathan and Cirie.

It all started great. The fans has got the knowledge of the past survivors, and the past survivor knows their game very well, I think. And now, its already in its 7th episode, and a lot had happened since.

Pillow Fight Survivor StyleThere’s nothing worse than having to pull yourself out of a game you love so much, because of injury, especially when you have no say on that matter. Lets not talk about who’s out, but those left in the game still.

Now they’re down to 7 favourites and 4 fans. I’m more intrigued on how they would play the game, and where they’ll finish. I think, those fans want to win the million bucks, but then again, they’re way too focused on wanting to beat the favourites. If you concentrate on trying to prove yourself to others, and not yourselves, more often than not, you’d end up burnt.

For now, for the fans, not looking that good. All I can say is that, If they can make it to the final 2, i think it would be an easy win against a favourite, simply because, who wouldn’t want to vote for someone who managed to outplay a past survivor. But if its against another fans (doubtful, now that there’s only 4 of them, and they haven’t even merge yet), its anybody’s game. I’m rooting for (right now) Jason and Alexis.

As for the favourites, they’ve come a long way, and with the majority, it won’t be a surprise seeing them pick on the fans one by one when the merge comes into play. But what I seriously don’t want to see is another case of Rob-Amber alliances with James-Parvati and Ozzy-Amanda. My ideal final 2 would be a fan and a favourite (of course). I’m rooting for Ozzy and Amanda from the favourites tribe.

And the challenges this time around. Some of it are sooooo good, i’d easily get an orgasm just seeing it. Haha. I love love love the challenges and how I wish I was there to compete. Dang! My favourite up until now, would be the one in which they had to swim to release several coconuts from underwater and make up a word out of all the coconuts.

Cirie still cracks me up, “Ozzzzzyyyyy…”. And Jason’s misinterpretation of the hidden immunity idol, “Sweeeeeet…”. Haha!

So to tally what happened up until now on Survivor Micronesia’s 7th Episode:

  1. 6 Fans are out of the game.
  2. 3 Favourites are out of the game.
  3. 2 Castaways quit the game, one from each tribe.
  4. 1 Castaway was taken out of the game due to an injury.
  5. 4 Fans left in the game, 2 males and 2 females.
  6. 7 Favourites left in the game, 2 males and 5 females.

6 episodes to go, 11 castaways left, who would indeed win the million dollars..

Would you donate RM1 for a cause?

Pangkor Unplanned

Pangkor - Me on a treeAs much as I love going away for work, but sometimes, I’d tend to get lonely easily. The production team never really understood why I would rather drive 3-hours back home and go to location the next day everyday, for almost 2 weeks now. So as soon as the weekend approached, I realized I had only once scene to do, I asked 3 of my other friends to join me.

We drove up north, and once we got there, they dropped me to do my job (which end up taking 2 hours to finish) and went for lunch. They (rupa-rupanya) went to Teluk Batik while I was away and it was packed.

Soon after that, they picked me up, and we went to the Lumut Waterfront. Although at first I thought we would just have a light tea snack and then maybe head home, I don’t know whose idea it was, but after 15 minutes we were already on a ferry on our way to Pulau Pangkor. RM10 for a return ticket. But after seeing the ferry itself, well, I wouldn’t have expected anything more for that amount. And its only a 45-minutes ride from the main land.

Once we got to Pangkor Jetty, we decided to catch a van [RM10 - 4 pax/RM20 - Fullload] straight to Teluk Nipah, which happens to be more of a touristy beach. Right in front of the beach, there were resorts, and small chalet huts [<RM60 - Non-Peak Season/<RM100 - Peak Season], and a lot of these small shops selling from souveinours to very spicy Laksa and also ‘Mee Bamdum’. :P

We had our tea and went straight into the waters, which weren’t that bad for a very developed island. There weren’t that many people at that beach at that time, since its 1800hrs and it was a Sunday. Everyone were already on their way back, from their weekend holiday and also school holiday. We had the beach to ourselves! I loved the atmosphere there, and there were even swings and ropes hanging from trees, and everyone knows how much I love climbing on trees and anything that I can actually climb. We saw the sun sets in, and we head back to the Pangkor Jetty.

I learnt that, through our brief session with the van-driver [Teluk Nipah -> Pangkor Jetty: 10mins], when the Peak Season ends, he would go back to his hometown, and he’d let someone else drive the van. There isn’t much to do then. No more local tourist, only foreigner backpackers, who would rather walk or ride the motorbike [RM20 - 1 day].

The last ferry leaves the Pangkor Jetty at 2030, so we had ample time to clean up and have a smoke or two.

As soon as we got to the Lumut Jetty, we bought some dried-up cuttlefish for the people back home, from my aquintance in Lumut, and went searching for dinner. Seri Manjung [from Lumut: 10mins drive] had a lot of places for us to choose from, even McDonalds and Secret Recipe, but we settled for rice, so we went to this foodcourt (* AF was airing, and I just found out Dato’s sister got through, haha).

Right at about 2200hrs, we started our journey, and got home safely at around 0030hrs. And everyone was just half-awake all through out the journey, just like zombies. But I had fun, although tired, cause my friends were there, and I love them for coming along, and the fact we were there, doing what we love the most. Being ourselves..

Cinta Antara Kita - Duta

Sejak dari dulu ku menyintai mu,
Kau tahu begitu namun kau berpura
Ku masih teringat kau peluk diri ku
Yang telah membuat ku menyintai mu

Sudah berapa lama diriku ini tak bertemu mu
Mungkin ku harap jua kau merindu ku sebagaimana ku rindu mu

Cinta antara kita tiada penghalangnya
Walau akhir usia ku menyinta dirimu
Ku hanya menunggumu menyata kau cinta ku
Ku kan berjanji menyintamu sayang

Setelah kau pergi jauh dari sisi
Tiada ku cinta selain dirimu
Ku ingin bersama denganmu selamanya
Biarpun sehingga ke akhir nyawa

Mungkin kau tak mengerti maksud ku dulu pada dirimu
Kini ku kan menyinta dirimu itu sehingga ke akhir waktu

Cinta antara kita tiada penghalangnya
Walau akhir usia ku menyinta dirimu
Ku hanya menunggumu menyata kau cinta ku
Ku kan berjanji menyintamu sayang
